“It was George Jay, George Jay,” Bob said. When Bob and I worked at The Camera Shop downtown we would meet on the weekends to pal around and shoot pictures. Bob made a friend in George, and George had some land out in the valley. Bob wanted the donkey to stay put, but as Bob stepped back to get a shot, the ass stepped forward. It was hilarious, and Bob enjoyed it more than anyone.

This is a vintage print. I made the photograph and printed the negative (camera original) within a few weeks of one another.

What you see is a scan of the actual print that is for sale. Please note that vintage prints will show regular wear and tear.

Young men took to photography back then in the same way that young take to aquariums.  It's something to do, with lots of fancy stuff to buy.  The most fun has been seeing them, me being one, try to score the Great Shot.
